I saw this tag on Lydia Tewkesbury‘s blog, 22 is still young adult (psst she’s a real awesomesauce blogger so do give her a visit) and instantly wanted to do it, cause it looks really fun!
- How long have you been a blogger?
I’m going to say almost three months. Even though I did start posting from August, I took a three month hiatus from October to November. So technically, the end of this January 2016 marks my three monthaversary. If I make it that far.
- At what point do you think you will stop?
Certainly not any time soon! I love the bookish community and the book blogosphere is the best there is. Even though I am a newbie, I’ve had such supportive friends (ie you…my fellow readers) and such a nice welcome into the community, that I want to keep up this hobby and meet more amazing people.
Of course, I may take hiatuses occasionally, what with my life being unpredictable as it is.
- What is the best thing?
Oh that’s easy: talking about books with people who actually reads. I have very few bookworm friends, and those who do happen to read once in a while don’t read any of the books I read. Hence I must rely on my online book loving friends to keep me sane.
- What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?
When I plan on scheduling a post early but fail to do it. So far, I have managed to schedule a few posts in advance by being a little organized, but I’m so lazy that organizing is something I’m still learning about.
- How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?
Less than 2 seconds. Me being a gif addict, I already have a huge collection of images sitting on my computer just waiting to be used!
- Who’s your book crush?
This is embarrassing but I have a long list of book crushes (it’s so hard to choose! they are all so good!) Warner from Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi has the #1 spot though. Oh, Warner.
- What author would you like to have on your blog?
Oh dear. This is tough. If I could, I’d ask all my favorite writers. But I think I would really love to have Marissa Meyer (the brilliant mastermind behind The Lunar Chronicles) because she’s really funny and Laurie Halse Anderson because she’s super wise and my idol.
- What do you wear when you write your blog post?
What I always wear at home–something faded, maybe with a few holes, and super soft from being washed a million times.
- How long does it take you to prepare?
Somewhere around an hour and a half during which time I can stare at a blank page + get distracted by food (ooh chocolate!) + edit and re-edit everything I type. Yeah…I think it takes me a little more than an hour and a half sometimes.
I may or may not have a problem.
- How do you feel about the book blogger community/culture?
Please see answer 2. Thank you.
- What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?
You’re asking me?
- Who do you tag?
I tag That Peculiar Fangirl cause I think she will like this, and I tag The Bookgasm Blog, That Bookshelf Bitch, Reg from She Latitude, YA Book Monster , Mud and Stars , Drizzle and Hurricane Books , Head In The Clouds Heart In The Books , Dreamy Addictions, Literary Hellion and Your Daughter’s Bookshelf because I want to know you lovelies more. Of course, you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to! Adieu.
Your gifs are LIFE ! Did you make them yourself or just found them ?

Thanks again for tagging me for this! 🙂 I enjoyed reading your answers, and love that you used a Once Upon a Time gif, I love that show! Also number 9 definitely describes my blogging process (especially the blank screen and chocolate part!) I completely understand the hiatus thing – I keep having really long gaps between my posts because life gets in the way, and there are so many evenings where I want to blog but I’m too tired from work. I should definitely do the schedule thing, but like you said in your post, laziness does get in the way haha!

Yes it does. I have found that organizing is a good way of procastinating before finally getting the job done. I have started bullet journaling and using apps like Evernote and Splen Do to keep me focused and motivated and so far it’s been going great!

Good idea! I might try Evernote too, although I’m also thinking I might buy myself a little notebook or something to write all my thoughts down and plan out posts – I’m really forgetful (and lazy haha) so I think it’ll help!

Bullet journals are a great way to organize! I learned it from Josie from Josie’s Book Corner and it’s been helping me a lot. There’s also an even better app than Evernote called Splen Do. I use all 3.
Try out diff types and ways! Everyone has their own way to organize without going insane 😄 And so sorry for the late reply! I was just really busy with university life.

Thanks, will definitely check that one out too! And no worries, life can get pretty hectic sometimes. It often takes me at least 5 days to reply to comments, especially if I have a busy week at work.

You sure did have a big haul of gif there. You’re a smart picker, Tanaz! Very appropriate and hilarious 😀
I can relate to what you said about having mini hiatuses from time to time. Life can be really demanding at times. I often go on announced hiatuses but oftentimes, I just go out without advice. LOL. But well you know what? What I like about it is despite the short absences, the blogging community is still there when you get back.
Ahh I feel really honored to be considered as one of those you wish to know more. See you around on WP and Twitter! 😉😄😎

I’m addicted to them gifs! And yes one of the best parts of the bookish community is that they are always there for you. I don’t think I would have had the courage to take so many hiatuses if I hadn’t had such warm welcome each time I returned.
Tweet away, Trisha! I’d love to hear from you 😊

I totally understand the unpredictable life issue. I have that going on too. Sometimes the world just does not respect the fact that I have a blog to be getting on with, haha.
Your Lizzie Bennet GIF makes me want to spend the rest of my afternoon binge watching The Lizzie Bennet diaries..
